Mary Holland is a former research fellow and director of the Graduate Lawyering Program at NYU School of Law. She has authored several law review articles and blog posts on vaccine law and policy, and is co-author and co-editor of the books Vaccine Epidemic and HPV Vaccine on Trial: Seeking Justice for a Generation Betrayed. She has testified in the California, West Virginia, Maine and Vermont legislatures in favour of maintaining or expanding vaccination exemptions. She has appeared in several documentaries and broadcasts on vaccination issues. She chairs the advisory board of Health Choice and is an advisory board member of the Elizabeth Birt Center for Autism Law and Advocacy, the Otto Specht School and Actionplay. Holland graduated from Harvard and Columbia Universities, and she has practiced international, public and private law. Before coming to NYU, Holland worked for six years at major US law firms, including three years in Moscow, Russia. She also worked at a US human rights organisation as director of the European programme. After graduating from law school, she clerked for a federal district judge in the Southern District of New York. She taught courses at Columbia Law School and served as a consultant for the Aspen Institute Justice and Society Program.
